Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Somnath Hore could be acquired at Bonhams in London in December 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the South Asian Art Online Sale auction, this work without title changed hands for GBP 200.00 (€ 222.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Somnath Hore achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Draupadi and Shakuni in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 100,524.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Somnath Hore konnte im Dezember 2018 bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion South Asian Art Online Sale wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 200,00 (€ 222,82) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Somnath Hore erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Draupadi and Shakuni im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 100.524,85).
