The work Cube Tower by Sol LeWitt was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2017. It achieved a price of USD 143,750.00 (€ 127,936.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. Admittedly, works by Sol LeWitt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Wavy Brushstrokes in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 449,000.00 (€ 636,531.19).

Die Arbeit Cube Tower von Sol LeWitt kam im Mai 2017 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 143.750,00 (€ 127.936,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sol LeWitt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Wavy Brushstrokes im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 449.000,00 (€ 636.531,19).
