Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Soimadou Ali Ibrahim could be acquired at Phillips in New York in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the New Now auction, the work Lobsters for dinner changed hands for USD 6,985.00 (€ 6,599.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Soimadou Ali Ibrahim achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Relax and take notes in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 94,887.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Soimadou Ali Ibrahim konnte im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion New Now wechselte die Arbeit Lobsters for dinner für USD 6.985,00 (€ 6.599,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Soimadou Ali Ibrahim erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Relax and take notes im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 94.887,92).
