Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Soimadou Ali Ibrahim could be acquired at Phillips in London in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work 3KINGZ changed hands for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,275.20) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Soimadou Ali Ibrahim have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Relax and take notes in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 107,100.00 (€ 94,887.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Soimadou Ali Ibrahim konnte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Phillips in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit 3KINGZ für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.275,20) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Soimadou Ali Ibrahim auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Relax and take notes im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 94.887,92).
