Auction result well in line with expectations
The work And I Saw Another Angel by Gertrude Morgan was sold in the Outsider Art auction at Christies in New York in January 2020. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,761.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 4,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gertrude Morgan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Precious Lord, 1970-1975 in January 2017 with an auction result of USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,692.79).

Die Arbeit And I Saw Another Angel von Gertrude Morgan wurde im Januar 2020 in der Auktion Outsider Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.761,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gertrude Morgan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Precious Lord, 1970-1975 im Januar 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 63.692,79).
