In January 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Courageous Spirits: Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included the work Precious Lord, 1970-1975 by Gertrude Morgan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,692.79), 72% above the upper estimate.
