Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2017 Christies in Dubai held the auction Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Paysage VIII by Sirak Melkonian. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 40,895.49). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sirak Melkonian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Saturn), which sold at auction in June 2020 for GBP 81,312.00 (€ 89,551.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Paysage VIII von Sirak Melkonian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 40.895,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sirak Melkonian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Saturn) beobachtet, die im Juni 2020 für GBP 81.312,00 (€ 89.551,08) versteigert wurde.
