This artwork by Sirak Melkonian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work Paysage XIII (Landscape XIII) sold for GBP 56,700.00 (€ 65,702.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sirak Melkonian; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (Saturn) sold at auction in June 2020 with the realized price of GBP 81,312.00 (€ 89,551.08).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sirak Melkonian erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde die Arbeit Paysage XIII (Landscape XIII) für GBP 56.700,00 (€ 65.702,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Sirak Melkonian; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (Saturn) im Juni 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 81.312,00 (€ 89.551,08).
