Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Royal Yacht Victoria and Albert (II) leaving Cherbourg with her escorts, August 1858 by Oswald Walters Brierly was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 956.00 (€ 1,434.35) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,000.00.
