Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Oswald Joseph Hornby Birley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait of Mark Birley (1930-2007), as a boy sold at auction in November 2018 with the realized price of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 36,659.01).
