The work Portrait Of A Man, Said To Be Daniel O'Connell by Martin Archer Shee was sold in the Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery auction at Sothebys in New York in June 2007. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,800.00 (€ 5,769.23), 30% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Archer Shee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Lady, Full-Length, In A White Dress With A Yellow Silk Sash, An Artist'S Palette And Neo-Classical Bust On A Table To Her Left, An Erard Harp On Her Right, And A Classical Greek Urn To Her Left And An Engraving In Her Left Hand in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 35,250.00 (€ 58,557.26).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Man, Said To Be Daniel O'Connell von Martin Archer Shee wurde im Juni 2007 in der Auktion Important Old Master Paintings and European Works of Art Including Property of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.800,00 (€ 5.769,23) und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Full-Length, In A White Dress With A Yellow Silk Sash, An Artist'S Palette And Neo-Classical Bust On A Table To Her Left, An Erard Harp On Her Right, And A Classical Greek Urn To Her Left And An Engraving In Her Left Hand im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 35.250,00 (€ 58.557,26).
