Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mrs Adam at Dinner by John Lavery was sold in the Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. The price achieved of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 96,158.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Lavery achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Terrace, Cap d'Ail in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,162,500.00 (€ 1,363,272.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mrs Adam at Dinner von John Lavery wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 96.158,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Lavery erzielen.
