This artwork by John Lavery achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2021. In the Modern British & Irish Art auction, the work Early Morning, Tangier sold for GBP 340,200.00 (€ 399,426.81) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by John Lavery - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Terrace, Cap d'Ail, which sold at auction in July 2021 for GBP 1,162,500.00 (€ 1,363,272.29).

Dieses Kunstwerk von John Lavery erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern British & Irish Art wurde die Arbeit Early Morning, Tangier für GBP 340.200,00 (€ 399.426,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von John Lavery mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Terrace, Cap d'Ail beobachtet, die im Juli 2021 für GBP 1.162.500,00 (€ 1.363.272,29) versteigert wurde.
