It achieved a price of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,773.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 56%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Everett Millais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,301,875.00 (€ 2,630,293.40).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.773,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 56%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von John Everett Millais erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sisters im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.301.875,00 (€ 2.630.293,40).
