Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Milking Time (The Farmer's Daughter) by John Everett Millais was sold in the European & British Art, Part I auction at Sothebys in London in July last year. The price achieved of GBP 176,400.00 (€ 210,652.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Everett Millais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,301,875.00 (€ 2,630,293.40).

Die Arbeit Milking Time (The Farmer's Daughter) von John Everett Millais wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion European & British Art, Part I bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 176.400,00 (€ 210.652,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben worden.
