Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Christies in London held the auction The Isabel Goldsmith Collection: Selected Pre-Raphaelite and Symbolist Art, which included the work Spring Time by John Everett Millais. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,046.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by John Everett Millais achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sisters in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 2,301,875.00 (€ 2,630,293.40).
