Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Henry Raeburn achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2018. In the Old Masters Day Sale auction, the work Portrait Of A Boy In A Striped Waistcoat sold for GBP 162,500.00 (€ 182,198.23) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Henry Raeburn - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Sir Evan Murray-MacGregor of MacGregor, 2nd Bt., K.C.B., K.C.H., 19th Chief of Clan Gregor, as a boy (1785-1841), full-length, in tartan, in a landscape, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 458,500.00 (€ 578,312.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Henry Raeburn erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Masters Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Boy In A Striped Waistcoat für GBP 162.500,00 (€ 182.198,23) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00.
