It changed hands for a price of USD 93,750.00 (€ 80,492.83) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Henry Raeburn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait of Sir Evan Murray-MacGregor of MacGregor, 2nd Bt., K.C.B., K.C.H., 19th Chief of Clan Gregor, as a boy (1785-1841), full-length, in tartan, in a landscape in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 458,500.00 (€ 578,312.66).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 80.492,83) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00.
