Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Bearded Old Man by Godfrey Kneller for USD 46,875.00 (€ 37,002.68). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Paintings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Godfrey Kneller have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in April 2008 by the work Portrait of Elizabeth, Duchess of Dorset, Full-Length, In A White Dress With A Blue Wrap, Leaning On A Stone Pedestal With Her Left Hand, Beside A Draped Curtain at GBP 50,900.00 (€ 64,890.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Portrait Of A Bearded Old Man von Godfrey Kneller für USD 46.875,00 (€ 37.002,68) erwerben.
