However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Godfrey Kneller - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of Elizabeth, Duchess of Dorset, Full-Length, In A White Dress With A Blue Wrap, Leaning On A Stone Pedestal With Her Left Hand, Beside A Draped Curtain, which sold at auction in April 2008 for GBP 50,900.00 (€ 64,890.31).
