The auction ended at the price of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 66,950.79), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Gerald Kelly have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2020 the work A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham was auctioned for GBP 94,000.00 (€ 104,935.72).
