Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work 'Ma-Thein-Kin, with her Yellow Parasol' by Gerald Kelly was auctioned at Bonhams in London in September 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,289.19), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Gerald Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 104,935.72).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit 'Ma-Thein-Kin, with her Yellow Parasol' von Gerald Kelly kam im September 2021 bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 14.000,00 (€ 16.289,19) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerald Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 104.935,72).
