It achieved a price of GBP 2,550.00 (€ 2,901.12), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gerald Kelly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 104,935.72).

Die Arbeit Le Café de Paris, Monte Carlo von Gerald Kelly kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.550,00 (€ 2.901,12) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gerald Kelly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 104.935,72).
