Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Saw Ohn Nyun Ix by Gerald Kelly was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2017. The price achieved of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,100.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gerald Kelly have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 94,000.00 (€ 104,935.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Saw Ohn Nyun Ix von Gerald Kelly kam im Dezember 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.100,38) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gerald Kelly auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Glass of Sherry in the Studio, Portrait of W. Somerset Maugham im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 94.000,00 (€ 104.935,72).
