Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Don Quixote Returns Home by Frank Brangwyn was auctioned at Bonhams in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,093.28) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Brangwyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fowey Harbour, Cornwall in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 182,650.00 (€ 286,020.48).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.785,00 (€ 2.093,28) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Brangwyn erzielen.
