Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Native Brandy Still by Frank Brangwyn was sold in the The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship auction at Christies in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 5,292.00 (€ 6,225.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Brangwyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fowey Harbour, Cornwall in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 182,650.00 (€ 286,020.48).
