Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work The Sixth Station of the Cross: Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus by Frank Brangwyn was worth GBP 23,940.00 (€ 28,163.13) to a buyer in May last year. This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Sir Nicholas Goodison - British Art: Innovation and Craftsmanship at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Brangwyn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fowey Harbour, Cornwall in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 182,650.00 (€ 286,020.48).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit The Sixth Station of the Cross: Veronica Wipes the Face of Jesus von Frank Brangwyn war einem Käufer im Mai letzten Jahres GBP 23.940,00 (€ 28.163,13) wert.
