In the The Sunday Sale : The Langford Hall Collection, Nottinghamshire - Property of the late Mr & Mrs Patrick Radford auction, the work Portrait of Thomas Dundas, 2nd Earl of Zetland, KG (1795-1873), full-length, in a black coat with a grey horse in a landscape sold for GBP 67,250.00 (€ 85,441.88) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Grant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Daisy Grant, The Artist'S Daughter, Full Length, Wearing A Black Dress, Red Petticoat, Black Shawl, Hat And Boots, And Grey Gloves In A Winter Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2001 for GBP 174,250.00 (€ 289,463.92).
