In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady On Horseback, Possibly A Study Of Queen Victoria by Francis Grant for GBP 750.00 (€ 846.29). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper Online at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Grant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Daisy Grant, The Artist'S Daughter, Full Length, Wearing A Black Dress, Red Petticoat, Black Shawl, Hat And Boots, And Grey Gloves In A Winter Landscape in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 174,250.00 (€ 289,463.92).
