Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Portrait of Lady Alice Peel, holding a King Charles spaniel on her lap by Francis Grant. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 19,056.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Grant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Daisy Grant, The Artist'S Daughter, Full Length, Wearing A Black Dress, Red Petticoat, Black Shawl, Hat And Boots, And Grey Gloves In A Winter Landscape in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 174,250.00 (€ 289,463.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Lady Alice Peel, holding a King Charles spaniel on her lap von Francis Grant zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 19.056,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francis Grant erzielen.
