Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self portrait by Francis Grant was sold in the The Scottish Sale auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 1,020.00 (€ 1,208.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francis Grant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Daisy Grant, The Artist'S Daughter, Full Length, Wearing A Black Dress, Red Petticoat, Black Shawl, Hat And Boots, And Grey Gloves In A Winter Landscape in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 174,250.00 (€ 289,463.92).
