This artwork by Edwin Henry Landseer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2017. In the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction, the work Some Of The Best Harts In The Forest sold for GBP 46,250.00 (€ 52,047.60) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edwin Henry Landseer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Scene in Chillingham Park: Portrait of Lord Ossulston', or 'Death of the Wild Bull' in February 2003 with an auction result of GBP 1,271,650.00 (€ 1,856,568.89).
