Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study For At Low Tide by Edward John Poynter was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,175.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Edward John Poynter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orpheus and Eurydice in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 437,500.00 (€ 488,726.49).

Die Arbeit Study For At Low Tide von Edward John Poynter wurde im Juli 2019 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite and British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.175,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00.
