Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Murray could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A Hampshire landscape changed hands for GBP 288.00 (€ 416.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Murray konnte im Januar 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit A Hampshire landscape für GBP 288,00 (€ 416,03) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
