Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2004 a collector was able to acquire the work Going to church by David Murray for GBP 239.00 (€ 357.76). This price was achieved in the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2004 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Going to church von David Murray für GBP 239,00 (€ 357,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
