Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by David Murray could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the The Scottish Sale auction, the work An Alpine lake changed hands for GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,825.41) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Murray konnte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The Scottish Sale wechselte die Arbeit An Alpine lake für GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.825,41) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
