Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction British & Continental Paintings, which included the work The Pilgrims' Path: Sacro Monte D'Orta by David Murray. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,500.00 (€ 10,770.49). Admittedly, works by David Murray have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion British & Continental Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pilgrims' Path: Sacro Monte D'Orta von David Murray zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.500,00 (€ 10.770,49) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Murray auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
