In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work Hay wain on the river Test, Hampshire by David Murray. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,761.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.761,09) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00.
