In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work Hay wain on the river Test, Hampshire by David Murray. The result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,761.09) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Murray achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers Of The Field in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 73,250.00 (€ 81,037.51).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im September 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hay wain on the river Test, Hampshire von David Murray zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.761,09) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Murray erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers Of The Field im Juni 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 73.250,00 (€ 81.037,51).
