Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jogging on by Alfred Munnings was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 53,740.00 (€ 53,740.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Munnings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gypsies Arriving at Epsom in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 3,031,000.00 (€ 3,228,589.69).
