This artwork by Alfred Munnings achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December last year. In the British and European Art: Part 1 auction, the work A Huntsman on the grey horse 'Isaac' by 'Goblet' sold for GBP 327,600.00 (€ 369,828.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alfred Munnings have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Gypsies Arriving at Epsom in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 3,031,000.00 (€ 3,228,589.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Alfred Munnings erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion British and European Art: Part 1 wurde die Arbeit A Huntsman on the grey horse 'Isaac' by 'Goblet' für GBP 327.600,00 (€ 369.828,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 180.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alfred Munnings auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Gypsies Arriving at Epsom im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.031.000,00 (€ 3.228.589,69).
