Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Christies in New York held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Who's the Lady?; and Two Studies by Alfred Munnings. It changed hands for a price of GBP 226,800.00 (€ 264,606.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Munnings achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gypsies Arriving at Epsom in December 2000 with an auction result of USD 3,031,000.00 (€ 3,228,589.69).
