In May last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session, which included the work Dimbaza, An Ancient Relative of Sikasa by Simphiwe Ndzube. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,760.00 (€ 30,528.38), 31% above the upper estimate. Other works by Simphiwe Ndzube have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 44,328.34) in July 2021 for the work Figure With a Whip Leg.

Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dimbaza, An Ancient Relative of Sikasa von Simphiwe Ndzube zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.760,00 (€ 30.528,38) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis.
