Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Christies in Paris held the auction Art contemporain - vente online, which included the work Peinture by Simon Hantaï. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 44,100.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Hantaï achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work M.A.4 (Mariale) in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 4,432,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Art contemporain - vente online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peinture von Simon Hantaï zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 44.100,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Hantaï erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit M.A.4 (Mariale) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.432.500,00.
