The work Manteau de la Vierge by Simon Hantaï was worth EUR 831,600.00 to a buyer in June this year. This price was achieved in the auction Art contemporain - Vente du soir at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 200,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Simon Hantaï have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work M.A.4 (Mariale) in December 2016 with an auction result of EUR 4,432,500.00.

Die Arbeit Manteau de la Vierge von Simon Hantaï war einem Käufer im Juni diesen Jahres EUR 831.600,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Art contemporain - Vente du soir bei Christies in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 200.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simon Hantaï auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit M.A.4 (Mariale) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.432.500,00.
