Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work The Pornography of Distance by Simon Evans for GBP 750.00 (€ 808.76). This price was achieved in the auction Saturday@Phillips at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vocabulary in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,059.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Pornography of Distance von Simon Evans für GBP 750,00 (€ 808,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Saturday@Phillips bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vocabulary im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.059,69).
