Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Simon Evans could be acquired at Christies in New York in August 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the First Open auction, the work Diagram of the Human Body changed hands for USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,351.21) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vocabulary in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,059.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Simon Evans konnte im August 2020 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion First Open wechselte die Arbeit Diagram of the Human Body für USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.351,21) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Simon Evans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vocabulary im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.000,00 (€ 49.059,69).
