Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ideas for New Continents by Simon Evans was auctioned at Phillips in London in March 2009. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,695.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Simon Evans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vocabulary in May 2007 with an auction result of USD 66,000.00 (€ 49,059.69).
