In September 2021 Christies held the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection, which included the work Love At The Waters Of Oblivion by Simeon Solomon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 56,250.00 (€ 65,447.65), 61% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Simeon Solomon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Habet! In The Coliseum A.D.Xc in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 370,000.00 (€ 414,851.36).

Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Love At The Waters Of Oblivion von Simeon Solomon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 65.447,65) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Simeon Solomon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Habet! In The Coliseum A.D.Xc im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 370.000,00 (€ 414.851,36).
