Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mouth Paintings by Sigalit Landau was sold in the Edition Gerd Hatje: Contemporary Photographs, Prints & Multiples auction at Christies in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 375.00 (€ 420.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigalit Landau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Deadsee in December 2013 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 90,717.76).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 375,00 (€ 420,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigalit Landau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Deadsee im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 90.717,76).
