Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sigalit Landau could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in December 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Israeli & International Art auction, the work Under The Deadsee, 2005 changed hands for USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,906.19) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sigalit Landau - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Deadsee, which sold at auction in December 2013 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 90,717.76).
